There is strength in numbers, and the Tim Hortons restaurants in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Val-David, Sainte-Adèle and Saint-Sauveur proved it by handing over all the profits from their last Smile Cookies campaign to the Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut.
Every September, Tim Hortons restaurants bring more smiles to Canadian communities thanks to this fundraising campaign. All the proceeds resulting from the sale of these special chocolate chip cookies are given to local charities.
For the past 3 years, this little $1 treat has allowed the Fondation Médicale to purchase more equipment for the institutions it serves in the region. In all, more than $35,000 has been given to the Fondation thanks to these participating restaurants.
Partnership
We are already working on a partnership with these same restaurants for September 2017. “We plan to ask local personalities to get involved in this campaign and thus maximize revenue for the Fondation Médicale,” explains the executive director of the Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut, Daniel Desjardins.
The Fondation Médicale is looking even farther ahead. “Beginning next year, we would like to link up with one event a month to increase our revenue,” says Mr. Desjardins. The annual golf tournament and the President’s Dinner will remain the two main fundraising activities for the Fondation.
