A fine gesture by the owner of the Canadian Tire store in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Jean Dumas, who donated the equivalent of $10,000 worth of shelving units to the Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut, enabling it to improve the display of articles for sale in the thrift shop.
“It helps us to better organize our thrift shop, now called Les Trésors de la Fondation. No doubt this initiative will have an impact on sales, as well as diversify our clientele. People will now be able to find what they are looking for more easily,” explains the executive director of the Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut, Daniel Desjardins.
Announcement to come
“This is the first in a long series of announcements that will be made at the end of this year and the beginning of 2017. We are looking to diversify our clientele, and to increase our profits and our visibility,” said Mr. Desjardins.
The Fondation Médicale’s thrift shop is located at 50 Rue Corbeil in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, in the premises of the former Notre-Dame-de-Fatima church.
The thrift shop is open Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Articles can be donated by going to the Place de la Fondation Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note that the thrift shop will be open on December 23, 24, 30 and 31. A new schedule, with more open hours, will be offered to users beginning in January.
